Recent heavy rains flood state recreation areas

The recent storms have forced some local residents to switch gears this memorial day weekend. The west entrance to the Yankee Hill Wildlife Management Area in Lancaster County has been closed. It's shut down because of flooding. Its boat ramp, which is only accessible from the west road, is also not open to the public. It caught some people by surprise. 

A Local woman stabbed in her sleep overnight

 Lincoln Police are investigating an early morning stabbing.  Police said it happened around 3 a.m. near 15th and B streets Sunday. They said a 32-year-old woman was sleeping, then was awaken by a man stabbing her.
